How to Make Yunnan Smashed Cucumber Salad (傣味拍黄瓜)

Smashed cold cucumber salad is a pretty well known Chinese dish, but we wanted to introduce you to a version that you might not know of from Dai Yunnan.

The method for treating the cucumbers is the same as your standard smashed cucumber salad, but this version sports a sauce with lime, tomato, and chili sauce. It’s an awesome combination of flavors and a real nice change of pace from the classic.
